Affiliate Disclosure

In 2015, the Federal Trade Commission released their new rules for Disclosure Compliance. These rules are set in place to ensure that readers or viewers of web media (blogs, Youtube videos, etc.) know if the blogger/presenter is sponsored, endorsed, or partnered with a different company. In blog terms, the readers need to know if the blogger is making money by sharing a link or product.

This website is independently owned and set up to provide information and education and is not sponsored, endorsed or partnered with anyone. I bring you unbiased information without a financial incentive in the choice of that information, if I have a favorite product it is because I believe it is the best, and I only share products that I believe are good, usually tried and tested myself.

For example any reference to Jill Davies’ herbs pays me nothing at all, there’s no affiliate program with that company, but I’ll still say they are the best herbal tinctures in Europe. Same thing with hypnosis.edu, there’s no affiliate commission for me but I’ll still say it is the best hypnosis school in the world, even though there are others out there that DO offer affiliate commissions, I am not going to say they are better.

Most online companies today however do have affiliate programs and reward bloggers with a commission for any traffic generated to them, those commissions help with the costs of running the website and when a company I like also has an affiliate program I will avail of it at no extra cost to the person who buys their products.

Affiliate links do not cost you anything, the FTC just want people to think twice and ask is this person just selling something to make money or showing me something because they really believe in it. Some websites you see out there are biased because people want to sell one particular product solely to get the commission. I was on a site that sold one brand of herbs to solve an issue and I had wondered why other things were not mentioned – see the difference, that person was focused on one product and did not provide other suggestions out of bias, to make a sale. I know herbalism and knew there were other good brands and extra products, but others would need to be told hey, this guy is trying to sell you that, look around.

Prices are exactly the same for you if your purchase is through an affiliate link or a non-affiliate link. You will not pay more by clicking through to the link.
